Vivek Ramaswamy has decided to step down from the 2024 presidential race after a disappointing performance in the Iowa caucuses. Instead, he is endorsing and supporting Donald Trump for the presidency.
Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur, previously praised Trump as the “best president of the 21st century” and encouraged Republican voters to choose someone with “fresh legs” to advance the “America First agenda.”

Following his withdrawal from the race, Ramaswamy reached out to Trump, congratulating him on his victory. He expressed his full support for Trump’s presidential bid and announced plans to join Trump at a rally in New Hampshire to share their vision for the country’s future.

Jason Miller, a key advisor to Donald Trump, recently dismissed the idea that Vivek could be Trump’s running mate. Miller conveyed to the New York Post that it’s highly unlikely for 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur Ramaswamy to be chosen as the ex-president’s potential vice president. “It won’t be Vivek,” Miller asserted.
However, Trump is known for surprises. Both Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley have criticized him, while Ramaswamy closely aligns with Trumpism. In his victory speech, Trump even congratulated Vivek, acknowledging his commendable performance. This marked a noticeable shift in Trump’s tone following recent confrontations.
While Ramaswamy conceded the race on Monday, it might not be the end but the beginning of his political journey. Even if not securing a Vice-Presidential nomination, he seems to have endeared himself to the millions of fervent Trump supporters at the core of the Republican Party.
